# AI Explorer Camp — Full Reference > AI Explorer Camp is a one-week summer program in Coral Springs, Florida where kids ages 8–14 build real AI projects. Small groups, experienced instructors, and a curriculum designed by a veteran engineering leader and a leadership coach. Students leave with a finished project, practical skills, and the confidence to keep building. --- ## About the Program AI Explorer Camp was founded because kids are surrounded by artificial intelligence every day, yet most have no meaningful understanding of how it works or how to shape it. The program is designed to close that gap through hands-on project work, not lectures. Every camper picks a project track on day one and works on it all week. By Friday they have something real to show: a completed, published AI project they built themselves. **What makes it different:** - Project-based from day one — no passive learning - Students choose their track (games, stories, music, art, or video) - Small groups (max 15) so every student gets real attention - 1:5 staff-to-student ratio, all instructors background-checked - Covers both the technical side (how AI systems work) and the human side (critical thinking, creativity, responsible use) - Family Showcase on Friday afternoon where students present their work --- ## Sessions & Pricing | Session | Dates | Price | Availability | |---------|-------|-------|--------------| | June Session | June 22–26, 2026 | $450/student | Open | | July Session | July 27–31, 2026 | $450/student | Open | - Price includes all technology, tools, materials, and instruction - No device needed — everything is provided - Sibling discount: 15% off the second enrollment (email to apply) - Payment collected via Stripe after registration is complete **Location:** Motherhood Village, Coral Springs, Florida **Hours:** Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM --- ## Weekly Curriculum - **Monday:** Introduction to AI concepts. Students build the core of their project. - **Wednesday:** Iteration day. Students refine, problem-solve, and push their project further with instructor guidance. - **Thursday:** Final build day. Students polish their project and prepare for the showcase. - **Friday:** Project completion, publishing, and Family Showcase where students present to family and peers. --- ## Frequently Asked Questions **Is it just more screen time?** No. It's structured, skill-based work. Physical breaks, group brainstorming, and peer feedback are built into every day. The goal is students producing something real. **Do they need coding experience?** No experience required. The curriculum starts from scratch. Students with prior experience have stretch goals to work toward. **Is AI safe for my child?** The program uses educational versions of AI tools designed for younger users, and every interaction is supervised. Digital citizenship and critical thinking are part of the curriculum so kids leave knowing how to evaluate what AI produces. **What will my child actually create?** A completed, published project in their chosen track — game, story, music, art, or video. By Friday it's done and shareable. **What's the student-to-staff ratio?** 1:5. All instructors are background-checked with experience working with kids in a tech context. **What if my child struggles or gets frustrated?** That's expected and normal. Revision and iteration are part of the process. Staff are trained to help kids work through problems, not around them. **What should my child bring?** Lunch, snacks, and a water bottle. All devices and software are provided. **Is there a sibling discount?** Yes — 15% off the second enrollment. As a VP of Engineering he scaled international teams and established AI Centers of Excellence. He holds 18 software patents. He founded AI Explorer Camp because he sees AI as the most significant technical shift yet — and because the kids who understand how these systems work will have an enormous advantage over those who only know how to use them. ### Ramona Tettamanti — Leadership Coach & Mindset Expert Ramona is a renowned leadership coach and author who helps high performers build the human skills that define long-term success: critical thinking, resilience, creativity, and executive presence. She joined AI Explorer Camp because she believes early intervention is the key. Kids who develop leadership habits and mental resilience now will be far better equipped for a workforce changing faster than schools can adapt. --- ## Free Parent Info Event **Date:** Saturday, March 21, 2026 **Time:** 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Eastern **Location:** Motherhood Village, Coral Springs, Florida **Cost:** Free **Registration:** https://aiexplorercamp.com/event A one-hour session for parents covering: - Practical norms for AI use at home - How to keep creativity and real thinking intact while kids use AI tools - Safety basics for AI tools used by kids - What responsible AI use looks like for ages 8–14 Parents leave with a playbook they can use immediately. --- ## Contact & Links - **Website:** https://aiexplorercamp.com - **Email:** hello@aiexplorercamp.com - **Register:** https://aiexplorercamp.com/register - **Blog:** https://aiexplorercamp.com/blog - **Sitemap:** https://aiexplorercamp.com/sitemap.xml
